Haller-Tau (Bavarian)
Hallertau Hops have a very long history in German Lagers and its aromatic flavor properties help to describe geberatuibs beers from the area. Hallertau is an aromatic hop with an alpha acid rating of 3.5%-5.5%. This variety is considered a noble hop. This designation fits Tettnanger, Spalt, and Saaz as well, and refers too otheir high amounts of humulene, and low amounts of aplha acids. These varieties have high aromaticc qualities. Hallertau itself has tempered yet spiccy aroma. It is useful any time during the brewing process from kettle additions, but is more flavorable for late assitions ior during the dry hop.
